I love old friends. Melissa and I got together. She was in Cali visiting family, ironically, we were able to meet up. Since our old stomping ground was UW, we hadn’t seen eachother for a while. Since UW we have lived far apart. The drive out to her family’s was GORGEOUS. Beautiful farm land and the Pacheco pass.

I have been thinking about all of the things that my mind goes through in a day, and how much of that time do I waste worrying about something that I can’t solve? Does so-and-so have a problem with so-and-so or I hope that he doesn’t get hurt doing that. Mrs. Ernest Hemingway said,

If something is wrong, fix it if you can. But train yourself not to worry. Worry never fixes anything

Plus, it can be exhuasting! This can also include worrying about the future: am I going to ever have enough money to buy a house? Am I ever going to be friends with him/her again? Slow and steady. I was given great advice once that said to have goal upon goal, and build and gain through life. As long as we daily chip away at our goals, we’ll reach them. The key is training yourself not to worry, and having patience. It truly is a virtue.

Well, Lj and I had another doctor’s appointment last week. We were able to hear the baby’s heartbeat again which was really exciting. It’ll always be reassuring to hear. It was beating at 140 and they say that baby boy’s hearts beat around 140, and baby girls at 160, so we’ll see. That is also just an old wives’ tale. Our next appointment is scheduled for the end of this month and that’s when we get to find out if it’s a boy or a girl!!! Anyone want to make a guess??? I really haven’t had a feeling either way with this pregnancy. I did start to feel the little guy moving around, just in the last couple of weeks. I’ve been told I’ll enjoy it more now than later since it doesn’t kick too hard yet. It’s fun. It’s starting to feel more real. For those of you who don’t see us regularly, I’m not really showing, unless I’m in a bathing suit, and even then, I think I just look like I’m gaining weight. I can tell though, when I lay on my back and suck my tummy in, there is a ball that buldges out. It’s all very exciting. Lj and I haven’t talked about names yet but I have gotten a few suggestions from 3 of my neices, Maddie, Kendelle and Kate, which suggestsions all stem from the boys they like. I have forgotten how young those crushes start! Well, that’s all for the baby update! Next post on the baby should be a very exciting one!!!

Lj and I just wanted to thank all friends and family for the enormous support with our annoucement. It feels more real now that everyone knows. Very cool. We will have a photo gallery coming soon…pictures from our wedding to now. So look forward to that.
