Sara has really had a hard time adjusting to less attention. We introduced a bottle to Allie the other night…and Sara really wanted to have milk in a bottle too. She often asks for silly things like help down from the chair, things she normally does just fine on her own. So, that night, Lj asked Sara if she wanted to be swaddled, held, burped, patted and soothed like Allie…it was hillarious. At the end of it, she admitted she was ready to be a big girl. I wish I could remind her of that choice every day. She forgets.

The 5 s’s (shooshing, stomach/side, swaddle, swinging and sucking) for soothing a baby apparently work for toddlers too
Grandma happens to teach kindergarden and we went help get the classroom ready one morning. I think there was enough to entertain Sara for hours…

Anyone? Anyone?

1 month…it’s gone by fast! Next to Sara, Allie still seems so, so little to me. I’m feeling great…it’s sooo nice not to be pregnant anymore! Sara is so cute how she mimics what we say to Allie, “she must be hungry”, “she must want a binki.”
It’s not always easy, but it is so much easier 2nd time around. It helps that you can reason with Sara, and that Allie sleeps so much. Oh, and hurray for swings. I literally remember with Sara being totally lost if she got off her schedule. What if she was hungry 2 hours instead of 3???
