Well, we’re expecting #2. I’m saying it here. It’s official. As much as I’d like to deny it, not possible. My clothes that don’t fit, won’t let me forget. Anyway, back to the point, so I’m SUPER hungry, for high maintenance food. So, I made Calzones for lunch, and Sara got really excited to see the counter get all dirty with flour. She has learned to see things in the kitchen, she has to get her stool to see. So, she promptly got it from the bathroom and brought it right where I was cooking.

This is Sara’s Calzone, or does it look more like focaccia bread?

Sara’s hair is getting long! Even with a haircut, it still spikes up!

Christmas was a busy, busy day. We spent time at home, we had my mom with us, then traveled to the other 2 of the parent’s houses through the day. The one thing that’s nice about Sara not REALLY getting Christmas yet is that it wasn’t a huge deal we didn’t get right to presents. We got the cinnamon rolls in and mozied our way into the presents.

We didn’t go overboard on presents (which we definitely did last year, so easy to do since there’s just one!) and I thought it worked really well. And she got the feel of opening presents real quick! It was so fun to watch her open things and get excited.

Notice the face scars? Ya, can’t get Sara to stop picking at her face!

Daddy got tired…

and in the meantime, uncle Sean taught Sara how to play guitar!

This says Sara’s Christmas experience in a nutshell. Her absolute favorite thing was to watch this Frosty the Snowman…over and over and over…the only reason I’m glad Christmas is over

The week before Christmas, we took Sara to go see Sara. Here Sara is going out the door to go see him, and she seemed really happy! You should’ve seen her actually on Santa’s lap!

We headed to Bellevue Square and it was all decked-out for the holidays, as always.

I really wish I could’ve had pictures to show the experience, but it was aweful! We entered Santa’s workshop (a glorified line to see Santa)

and there was a little barrier to keep kids out of the display of Santa’s workshop areas…every two feet there was a two inch separation in the barrier before the next one started. EVERY separation in the fence, Sara would say, “pease, pease, pease.” over and over and over. Growing up, my mom would’ve described the whole situation as Diahrea of the Mouth. She was tired too, but she did not stop talking or trying our patience, until we got the front of the line, and she stopped talking. She saw Santa for the first time, and clutched on tight. I’m sure I looked bad as I had to pry her off of me to get her on Santa’s lap. She screamed and screamed. They took 2 pictures. She tried to get off his lap…and then it was over, she got a candy cane (her favorite) and she was happy. I hope we didn’t scar her, but it was hilarious! Anyway, at least she was happy before and after :)
