Sara has learned from her friend Sydney, that putting on big shoes can be really fun. And they don’t come much bigger than daddy’s!

Sara loves bath time. We love naked babies!

Sara is really getting the hang of drawing. It’s really fun to draw with her. Sometimes if one of us isn’t drawing on the pad with her, she’ll give us a crayon, if we don’t already have on in-hand, and she’ll physically lift up our hand and put it on the paper.
Today she found new uses for her colored pencils or crayons:
eating

picking her nose with it…great manners, huh?

And this one was my favorite. Putting them in the wagon (i really hope we have room for this toy on the way home…it’s the best!) and then throwing them out: a new ability sara has learned to do…throwing. She’s also getting really good at running. She tries to jump but it’s more of a big bounce up and down.

Sara had enver had skittles before and I came down the stairs the other day and she had found a half-eaten bag had happily helped herself. And she was very happy with her new discovery. She is such a good sharer. She didn’t hesitate to hand me one so I could share in her good eats, as if she were saying, “mom, you’ve GOT to try these; they’re incredible!” It was pretty darn cute. It was hard to capture the moment. Every time she ate one, her lips turned a different color.

I was really busy this week with a photo shoot. I had to scout some areas, and Sara was SO patient, sitting in her stroller while I testing the lightening in areas. It was early in the morning and she seemed to be very content just being out of the house.

Maybe a little bored at times…

A cell phone always helps the time go by…

Poor Sara. We were out and about after church today and she had these warm-ups on and it was a very toasty 94 degrees outside. We weren’t out too long, so grandparents, don’t worry, we weren’t frying our child
We got her in not too long after this
Â

Oh how fast they change. These two shots were back to back…

Â
So, sara just caught on to “dipping sauces” such as katchup, dressings etc. So, instead of a fry and katchup, why not a crayon and butter??? Makes sense to me.

Â
We ate at California Pizza Kitchen tonight and Sara decided she wanted to try the lemon in my water…her reaction was GREAT!!!
This sequence is in order

Yes, I covet these lenses. And I can’t decide which would suit my needs better…
The Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L USM? Or the Canon 24-105mm f/4 L USM and IS??? I realize that with IS(image stabilization), you get more stops which would be equivalent to the 2.8. But with what I want to do with this lens, wouldn’t the f/2.8 aperature be more appropriate? Then, there’s the fact that i just prefer handheld (instead of tripod). It gives me so much more freedom. So, then there’s the IS technology that really shines.Â
So these shots were taken in the store. No post-processing, no cropping. Just as is. Point and shoot.
This may just be me, but I swear this lens makes even a tripod interesting and beautifully lit. Bokeh is nice too.

The f/2.8 aperature 24-70mm f/2.8 USM

Below, the 24-105mm f/4 aperature. Granted, I realize not a fair comparison given the different angle:

Below, look at the light off of the tripod. I LOVE this lens! (24-105mm f/4.0L USM IS)
