Sunday at 2:30 in the afternoon. Growing up, it would be nap time. Reasons for not sleeping? Call it sympathy. Lj is doing Stake Employment.
20 bucks I called my mom right now, she’s sleeping!
We had our second Sunday in our new ward. We attempted our second week of leaving Sara in nursery. Wishful thinking. A nursery leader came to get one of us 15 minutes later, after she had had snacks, she was done.
While sitting with Sara in nursery, I met a younger couple that lives in our apartment complex. Or condo complex, or whatever this place is called. It’s great because they have a little girl just 4 days older than Sara, and about the same size too. Hello play dates! Sara was happy to see all the kids to play with today. When either mom or dad are there, Sara seems to think nursery is heaven on earth.
I was also happy to learn today that this super hot weather we’ve been having this week is a heat wave, and very unnatural for this time of year. I was about to pack my bags if spring started off this hot (90′s). I didn’t think I’d make it through July and August. Fortunately, Lj and I learned that it typically is a gradual heat increase. They say it’s suppose to be in the 70′s about now. Let me just remind us all that it was 60 and drizzling here last Sunday. I didn’t think I had brought enough warm clothes. I was quickly reassured that I had brought appropriate attire.
These were taken this morning, before church…

We’re here! We miss Seattle and our families, but it is nice here and we are enjoying the sun.
I have yet to see another child under 3 for Sara to play with, but we’ve only been to church once. I’ve taken her to the park where the youngest kid there was 4-6 (couldn’t tell) and Sara just invited herself and walked in like,
“here are the kids, I’ve been looking for you!” and started talking to them like they were suppose to understand her baby talk. She even gave another girl a bucket full of sand, and she was soooo cute about it but the other girl didn’t get it and just stared at Sara.
I took Sara swimming in the pool here. She was so excited, she tried to walk right in regardless of the fact that the most shallow place was 4 ft! We have found swim lessons in which I hope to get Sara involved.
Here are pictures on our way out the door today. It was the longest I could get her to wear sunglasses so far. Have I mentioned I LOVE her age??? She is such a sweet girl.
