Alas, I am back! Thought I should update ya’ll on our latest and greatest! Well, Sara’s latest and greatest! In the earlier months, she learned one new thing at a time. Now, she seems to accomplish something new everyday. I’ll just highlight you on her latest and greatest.

Sara:

1)loves to stand up. She needs assistance, so our walker (thanks Syndi!) is invaluable. She can work it the best on the linolium, the kitchen, which means not very much room to move. I bet if she had a house full of hardwoods, she’d be all over the place.

2)has to have anything and everything in her mouth. It’s the cutest thing because she’ll often scoot around in her walker with her mouth and arms wide open as if to mean, “I want what you have. Give it to me and put it in my mouth.” It is quite cute. If you’re carrying her around on your waist, and Sara doesn’t have a binki in her mouth, watch your shoulder. She’ll often plant her mouth right over your shoulder and start sucking.

3)sees everything. Just a couple of weeks ago, you could sit her on the bed with phones, remotes etc. and you could give her a toy and she’d be fine. Now, she sees all of those untouchables on the other side of the bed. It’s cute because she’s definitely getting a mind of her own. She sees something across the room, she stares at it. She doesn’t fuss too much yet that she has to have it unless it’s right in your hand and don’t give it to her. For instance, I have a glass out all of the time with water in it, and whenever I drink, she wants to drink. She doesn’t really drink yet, she just gums the lip of the lid.
4)she is soooo close to scooting. She’ll stretch out her legs, even do a push up on her arms and feet, just hasn’t gotten the moving foward part.

5)officially laughs and giggles. It’s the cutest thing ever. She’s ticklish on her sides which will elicite a high pitched sound or two. She gurgles her spit in her mouth and even made the “da” consonant sound last week.

6)is learning to put her binki (aka pacifier, fofo) in her mouth. It is so incredible how much concentration she exerts in trying. She has done it successfully, but maybe only twice.

7)she scoots! Well, she can, but only goes maybe an inch or two. That’s pretty new though. Only in the past day or two.

Lj and I are good. It seems our life is work, baby and church. Not necessarily in that order. Last night, it was Sara, Sara, Sara.

Her sleep schedule:

Sara usually goes to bed and will sleep 6 hours before she eats again. Then it’s every 3 hours after that. She also takes 3 naps a day, though only one is for sure, her afternoon one.

That’s all for this week!
